Getting Hitched

At some point in everyones life, we know of someone who is getting married.

I never have any Wedding cards on hand so because I loved this particular fun fold so much, I decided I would make a Wedding Card to keep in my stash, just in case.

It's actually quite elegant which I love and was made easy by using the Forever Love dsp with the Lifetime of Love bundle. 

Pretty Peacock and Gold are just stunning together so it's the perfect combo for something stylish.

The Belly Band simply slips off and the two "gates" open up to reveal the inside panels. I have also used some coordinating dsp to decorate the inside and there is plenty of room on the centre panel to write a heartfelt message and maybe stamp some images from the stamp set on the inside in the corners.

I'm really happy with this card, I wonder how long it will be before I send it out.

I saw the original of this card on social media AND it was made by another companys designer using their products.

I looked at it and thought I could make it and adapted to use Stampin' Up! products.

It's so simple and the embossing folder does all the work.

I never thought I would love an Embossing Folder so much. First impressions can sometimes be wrong. When I first saw this folder, it looked too busy for me and I prefer subtle backgrounds, however I stand corrected.

This particular card demonstrates that an Embossing Folder alone is all you need to make an elegant card. You can dress this up or leave as simple as much as you want. Any colour combo and a change of sentiment can change the card from a Wedding Card to a Sympathy card.

I love the versatility

Magnolia Mood

When this set was first released and I layed eyes on it, I hesitated for a second and then kept scrolling!

I know right.

I thought to myself "nope, I dont think I will use that" and I was very unsure whether to get it.

Well wasnt I all sorts of wrong!

It only takes 1 card, that you stumble upon on Pinterest and boom....add to cart!

I saw something similar to this one so I CASE'd it and changed a few elements.

It's such an elegant set and who would have thought that Pebbled Path, Basic White, Vellum and Gold would be a stunning combo.

I'm a bit disappointed that Vellum is retiring, I have no idea why, it's so versatile.

Just a tip, when cutting the Magnolia Dies in white, use Thin White cardstock, not think and make sure to do several passes back and forth through the cutting machine to ensure you get a clean cut through the cardstock. You will need a sharp pokey tool to poke out all the bits.

I love this card and I can't wait to send it to someone.

Who doesn't love a good chin wag?

It's important, particularly nowadays with life being so hectic that we stay connected. Having a good chat on the phone with friends or family can really turn around a bad day and make us feel so much better.

So when I saw this stamp set, I immediately saw fun so I set about CASEing one of Stampin' Up!s cards made with this set.

Now I really do love a good chat so this set is very appropriate for me. I remember my mum telling me that in school, my reports would come back that I was a great student but she talks way too much lol

I think this card would be perfect to send to someone maybe you need to check in with, someone you havent spoken to for a while and would like to reconnect with.
