Mixed Florals in Watercolour

I really wanted to have a go at some watercolouring and I didn't want to do a large image so I chose the Mixed Florals stamp set.

The only thing I don't like about watercolouring is that if you don't do it on Water Colouring paper, it can make your cardstock wavy from the water so to counter this I did pop the piece up on dimensionals and layered it for some depth.

I kept the colouring light and made it a little bit messy because I thought I could smooth it out with some water which gave it an interesting look, which I don't mind.

The colour combo is Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and I've used Red, Green and Pink Watercolour Pensils with a Water Brush.

Remember to stamp your image in Momento ink so when you apply the colour it won't bleed.

The sentiment is stamped on some Basic Beige using the Simply Said Stamp Set and die cut with a shape die from a fave set.

Finished with some Linen Thread and a cute little Tiny Bee Trinket.

Even though I'm not a big water colourer and it makes me uncomfortable to do it, I'm glad I had a go and made this and I look forward to sending it on its way to someone.

Painted Stripes

I absolutely LOVE this stamp set!

I mean who doesn't love stripes right? They are timeless and make for an easy background pattern.

So when this was released, I added that to cart super quick.

Then I made this simple card

I've used some Basic White A4 Thick cardstock for ther base and layered some Pretty In Pink cardstock on top.

I've stamped the Painted Stripes on to more white cardstock in Pretty in Pink in a faint tone so you can just notice them. I didn't want to take too much away from the flowers.

The bouquet comes from the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack which contains coordinating die cuts, so they simply pop out of the sheet. I've just adhered down with some glue.

I've used the Saying Something Ephemera Pack for the sentiment and popped that up on dimensionals.

This makes for such a feminine and pretty card that I can't wait to send to someone soon.

Pattern of Friendship

This card has been sitting on my desk for a while, I'm talking probably 3 weeks, maybe longer and I'm still undecided if I like it!

I wanted to show off the new Pattern of Friendship die which is one large die and perfect for backgrounds.

The aim was to keep it simple and keep it on the masculine side so it's appropriate for a male card.

But I keep looking at it and thinking it's missing something.

I also had some elements left over from an Ephemera Pack which I really wanted to use up and not waste. It also meant I had to colour them in so out came the blends markers.

This one is a pretty simple card because there is no stamping!

The Balloons are from an Ephemera Pack and so is the sentiment. The card really only requires a bit of die cutting and colouring and then to adhere it all together.

I do think it's a great male card and really can be given to a male of any age. There is nothing feminine about this card, which is a first for me!

The colour combo I chose is Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, Night of Navy and the Ivory blends.

I'm sure I will send this to someone this year.
